Bribery and Sexual Assault Charges: CSP Akinade Adejobi Removed by New Lagos Police Commissioner

Recent reports from Lagos State Police Command has indicated that the new Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, has ordered the removal of the Officer-in-Charge of the  Anti-Kidnapping and Anti-Cultism Squad, State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, CSP Akinade Adejobi.

CSP Akinade Adejobi and his men were accused of taking a bribe of N50,000 to affect the bail of a lady, Blessing Taiwo, for alleged stealing.

The CSP was said to have collected the lady’s mobile phone pending a balance payment of N20,000 on Tuesday (today).

In addition to the charges of taking bribe, CSP Akinade Adejobi and his men were equally accused by the victim’s sister, Florence, for sexual harassment.

Florence claimed that anytime she took food to her sister, Blessing, where she was locked up at the police cell with a mad woman, the policemen normally put their hands inside her private parts. She also claimed that the policemen were also pestering her with phone calls asking to see her over what they couldn’t explain over the phone.
